Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Kennewick, WA to provide high-level coordination across our National Technical Systems Group. You will partner with construction project management and field staff to manage submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes, and assist with scheduling and budget setup.

The role supports PMs and PXs, reads electrical drawings, and helps maintain workflows and contract documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Experience maintaining project documentation (submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support PM/PX with project documentation and meetings.
• Assist in scheduling, change orders, and coordination with subcontractors.
• Help ensure timely payments to subs and vendors and accurate billings.

The position of Assistant Project Manager for our National Technical Systems Group is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.

• Assistwithmanagingall aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
• AssistwithsupervisionanddirectingprojectactivitiesasassignedbythePMincludingplanning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
• Assistwiththemaintenanceofallchangeorder,submittalanddocumentcontrollogswithinViewpoint.
• AssistPMandPXwithinteractionswithsubcontractorstomakecertainthatwe have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• ResponsibleforcreatingtheJobInformationSheetsandestablishingjobfiles under the direction of the PM or PX.
• AssumetemporarytotalprojectsupervisionresponsibilitiesintheabsenceofthePM.
• Abletoreadandbasicunderstandingofelectricaldrawingsandspecifications.
• Assistwithestablishingworkflowbreakdownsinconjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Assistwithensuringprojectbillingsareaccurateandsubmittedtimely, monthly, and per contract documents.
• ResponsibleforassistinginwritingandsubmissionofqualityRFIs.
