Job summary

EC Electric is seeking a Project Manager to assume full responsibility for a variety of electrical needs from marketing through project close-out and customer follow-up. A successful candidate will manage profit, supervision, customer relations and fiscal/contract management.

Responsibilities include project planning, cost tracking, detailed take-offs and estimating, marketing profitable jobs, and cross‑selling other company operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction project experience in the regional market.
• Prior design/build experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods.
• Ability to read, understand, and write contracts.
• Experience writing detailed scope proposals.
• Excellent Excel, Word skills and familiarity with estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure.
• Provide monthly project status detail and percent of completion reports.
• Detailed take-off and estimating for electrical service, TI, light commercial/industrial work.
• Marketing and building profitable jobs.
• Decision making concerning project cost, time and performance.
• Cross-selling of other company operations through fully integrated solutions.
• Interfacing with contractors, vendors, and in-house operations.
• Coordinate and direct workforce.
• Supporting an injury-free work environment and safety culture.
• 5 years construction project experience in the regional market with proven relationships and marketing skills, preferred.
• Prior experience with design/build, preferred.
• Senior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write contracts.
• Experienced in writing detailed scope proposals.
• Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, estimating software (ConEstaPlus).
• Excellent people, communication and negotiating skills.
