Job summary

NETSEA Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in design, fabrication, and qualification of MIL-STD/MIL-DTL electrical connectors for LRIP at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will own connector design from concept through production and work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs meet field requirements.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, experience with MIL standards, and a SECRET-level clearance or willingness to obtain one;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Active SECRET clearance strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience owning the design and fabrication of MIL-STD/MIL-DTL connectors from concept through production release.
• Familiarity with metalwork and injection molding processes for connectors to support DFM decisions.
• Experience in rapid prototyping or LRIP in defense/government settings.
• Comfort interpreting MIL-STD/MIL-DTL specs into buildable designs.
• Experience with armored steel plating or ruggedized cabling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, fabrication, and qualification of MIL-STD/MIL-DTL electrical connectors from concept through LRIP.
• Translate emerging tech requirements into physical, testable connector prototypes.
• Provide engineering solutions for custom fabrication needs, including armored steel plating and specialized cabling.
• Oversee metalworking and injection molding processes used to fabricate connector components.
• Collaborate with field organizations and testing centers to refine designs before full-rate production.
• Ensure components meet MIL-STD/MIL-DTL specs, tolerances, and environmental/electrical/mechanical test requirements.
• Support C3 upgrade programs by accelerating connector design and delivery timelines.
• Review and maintain technical drawings, design packages, and quality documentation.
• Work with government customers and cross-functional teams to keep LRIP builds on schedule.
