Amentum is seeking a Journeyman Machinist for the Aberdeen Proving Grounds area to support prototyping and fabrication for C5ISR initiatives. You will work from engineering drawings to machine, assemble, and test components for military systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, 8+ years of experience, CAM knowledge, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Journeyman Machinist.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. US citizenship required.
• Knowledge of CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) operation.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate tools in a fabrication shop (sheet metal, machining, injection molding, 3-D printing).
• Fabricate electrical connector components per drawings and specs.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Fabricate mechanisms, models and instruments to meet engineering requirements.
• Determine tooling needs; operate laser cutters, rollers, press brakes, punch presses; support CNC machines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Assist fabrication planning in JOBBOSS (scheduling, estimating, tracking costs).
