Job summary
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) invites applications for the TCUP Technology Project Engineer (Electrical Assistant Engineer) in the Administration Division. The role supports systems engineering and communications integration for the Train Control Upgrade Project, working with CBTC, CAD/AVL, SCADA, and enterprise networks.
You will review submittals, participate in design reviews, coordinate with IT and field staff, and provide field support during construction,
Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- One year of verifiable professional engineering experience with design reviews, field inspections, or related tasks.
- Possession of an EIT certificate or PE license is required or desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support delivering CBTC technology to Muni rail system.
- Lead technical meetings to identify and resolve engineering issues.
- Review vendor submissions and support SFMTA design reviews.
- Coordinate CBTC integrations with CAD/AVL, SCADA, and IT teams.
- Develop and review installation and test plans; assist in field commissioning.
