American Electric Power Co. in Tulsa offers a designer internship focused on CAD-based creation and updating of 3D inventory parts, assemblies, and drawings, as well as 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings.

This onsite role provides hands-on training and a path toward engineering careers. The internship requires enrollment in an related program, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and at least one year toward an associate degree in drafting/CAD or engineering tech.

Formación

• Must have completed at least one year toward an associate degree in drafting and CAD or in civil, structural, electrical or mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Relevant education or experience accepted.

Responsabilidades

• Create, revise and maintain engineering and record drawings, and sketches.
• Support the creation, revision, and maintenance of facilities and equipment documents.
• Obtain information required to perform work from verbal communication, sketches, marked drawings, listings, field notes, catalogs and site visits.
• Perform mathematical calculations required to accomplish assigned work.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, Vault).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
