Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in New Albany, OH is offering a designer internship that uses CAD to create and update 3D inventory parts, assemblies, and drawings, along with 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings. This hands-on program aims to build a solid foundation for your engineering career.

You will work on essential engineering documentation, learn to read prints, perform basic calculations, and gain proficiency in Autodesk CAD tools and Microsoft Office while adhering to corporate policies.

Qualifications

• One year toward an associate degree in CAD or engineering technology or related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Graduation date December 2027 or later.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise and maintain engineering drawings and sketches.
• Support facilities and equipment documents including construction, equipment, and records.
• Obtain information from sketches, field notes, vendor catalogs and site visits.
• Perform mathematical calculations as needed.
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor and Vault.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Read vendor prints and equipment instructions and incorporate into work.
