Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Tulsa, OK, offers a designer internship based on onsite CAD drafting work. You will create, revise, and maintain 3D inventory parts and 2D drawings while gaining hands-on experience in a structured program.

The role emphasizes proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, Vault) and in Microsoft Office. Minimum education includes pursuing an AAS in CAD or related field, with a required GPA and age set by the program.

Qualifications

Completed at least one year toward an associate degree in applied science (AAS) CAD or engineering technology, or relevant equivalent experience/education.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

Create, revise and maintain engineering and record drawings and sketches.
Support creation, revision and maintenance of facilities and equipment documents.
Obtain information from drawings, notes, vendor catalogs and site visits.
Perform mathematical calculations required for assigned work.
Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, Vault.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Read vendor prints and equipment instructions and integrate into work.
Demonstrate ethical behavior per company policies.
Assume other duties as assigned.
