Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer - Electrical in Hartford, CT, to monitor, maintain and repair building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related facilities. The role focuses on electrical work orders but participates in general maintenance tasks across the building.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00–3:30, with opportunities to contribute to preventive maintenance and energy management programs while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience. Combination of experience and education considered.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses per local/state jurisdiction may be required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety and control systems to keep facilities up to standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and safety policies.
• Maintain energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Handle safe storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials per policy.
