Job summary

AlphaX is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead BIM and VDC operations for healthcare and large-scale electrical construction projects in Detroit. This technical leadership role focuses on establishing company standards, ensuring model quality, and directing coordination workflows across multiple active projects.

You will mentor BIM Coordinators and modelers, drive constructability reviews, and deliver accurate, constructible, and on-schedule project deliverables while expanding BIM

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BIM or VDC experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Experience leading BIM Coordinators, modelers, or project-based technical teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM and VDC execution across multiple commercial electrical projects.
• Establish and maintain modeling standards, workflows, file structures, and QC procedures.
• Manage and mentor BIM Coordinators, modelers, and VDC resources.
• Direct clash detection, constructability reviews, and coordination with other trades.
• Review and approve electrical models, shop drawings, and field installation documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and operations teams to support schedules, prefabrication, layout, and installation.
• Resolve technical modeling and coordination issues before they affect field production.
• Improve BIM execution plans, staff training, software use, and companywide VDC processes.
