Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical BIM Designer to lead the design documentation and management of Revit BIM models across electrical disciplines. You will coordinate with other design leads to deliver coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings, following Jacobs standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. The role requires strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, commitment to quality, and ongoing learning to drive constructible outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design and the construction industry.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Understanding wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or device links.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation for electrical BIM models.
• Set up and manage Revit BIM models.
• Coordinate with discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models.
• Produce 2D construction drawings.
• Ensure clash-free 3D models across design disciplines.
