Job summary

Powell Industries is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join the team in the United States. The role involves installing electrical devices, wiring, and conduit according to NEC standards, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will work from ladders and in cramped spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs, and you’ll complete an 8-week training course on the 1st shift. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

Must have basic mathematical ability.
Knowledge of air, hand, and power tools is required.
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
New hires complete an 8-week training and must pass tests.
Training starts on 1st shift regardless of hired shift.

Responsibilities

Learn and adhere to safety policies to avoid incidents.
Adhere to manufacturing policies to ensure consistent production.
Ensure quality by following standard work and identifying risk to product quality.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Install electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, etc.).
Bend, install conduit (EMT and Rigid) and install wireway/cable tray.
Pull wires and terminate cables; follow NEC/standard work.
