Job summary

Powell in Houston, TX is seeking a Wireperson II to assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems and components. You will read wiring diagrams, select cables, and terminate connectors to ensure reliable operation on complex equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of manufacturing experience, familiarity with point-to-point wiring, and a proven commitment to safety and quality. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within Powell.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand point-to-point wiring diagrams.
• Able to read a tape measure and use hand tools safely.
• Experience with wiring and assembly in manufacturing.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to follow Powell wiring standards and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools to perform tasks per standards.
• Run and bundle wires according to Powell wiring standards.
• Install devices on doors and back pans.
• Install CTs and connect cables (CAT5/6, fiber) per diagrams.
• Read single and three-line drawings and symbols.
• Assist in root cause analysis and engineering changes.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Support small teams and meet delivery goals.
