Job summary

Powell is an engineered-to-order manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment. We seek an Assembler to join the Assembly department, following blueprints, assembling components, and performing quality checks to meet specifications in a temperature-controlled facility.

The role requires manual dexterity, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and help maintain a clean, safe workspace while following ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret fractions/decimals.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units per drawings and specs.
• Maintain and properly use tools.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality.
• Prepare shipments and perform gear-splitting duties.
• Promote safety and attend safety meetings.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
