Job summary

SPX is seeking a Machine Operator for the Coil Wind assembly line in Missouri. You will assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work order, layout and wire electrical installations, and perform quality checks to ensure reliability.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 months of related experience, basic brazing certification, and a high school diploma. The role is on site with potential for development and cross-training within SPX’s HVAC manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience or training.
• ASME brazing procedures certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work order, blue print, and engineering specification.
• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Install and wire Thermostats and other options.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
