Job summary

CEC is hiring an Apprentice Electrician to learn and assist in installing, altering, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will work under a Journeyman/Master Electrician, gaining hands-on experience while maintaining safety and code compliance.

Typical duties include wiring, device installation, and equipment testing, with emphasis on safety and quality. Must hold a high school diploma or GED and obtain TX electrical apprentice licensing annually.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driver's License and own reliable transportation.
• Must meet attendance standards and comply with late/absence notification procedures.
• Must be able to pass drug and background check.
• Travel up to 15% may be required based on company needs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Prepare work area for installation of equipment.
• Install or help install electrical components.
• Connect wiring and equipment per code and job specifications.
• Keep materials, tools, and workspace organized and safe at all times.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools.
