Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to grow with our team in Texas. You will learn under Journeyman and Master Electricians while assisting in installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

This safety-sensitive role requires a high school diploma or GED, a TX Electrical Apprentice License, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background and drug checks. Travel up to 15% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and renew TX Electrical Apprentice License annually.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
• Pass drug and background checks.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring in commercial/industrial settings.
• Prepare work area for installation of equipment.
• Install or help install electrical components.
• Connect wiring per code and job specification.
• Keep materials, tools, and equipment organized and area clean.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
• Assist in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.
• Comply with safety requirements at all times.
• Produce quality of work meeting NEC and company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations.
