Job summary

CEC Companies in Irving, TX is seeking an Apprentice Electrician, safety‑sensitive role under Journeyman/Master supervision, focusing on installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings. You will work to maintain safe work environments, learn the trade, and develop skills while complying with National Electrical Code and company policies.

Must have HS diploma or GED and TX apprentice license.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
State approved Electrical Apprentice License (TX) required/renewed annually.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in a commercial and industrial setting.
Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
Installs or helps install electrical components.
Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
Keeps all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion and the work area clean and organized at all times.
Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
Assists in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.
Understands and complies with safety requirements at all times.
Produces quality of work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements and Company standards.
Maintains a positive attitude towards completing job while complying with all Company policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
