Qualifications

A manufacturing and test engineering organization is currently seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Technician for a 6-month contract opportunity based in Newark, New Jersey. The role supports electronic test systems used in laboratory and production environments and includes initial training in Allen, Texas. Short-term travel throughout the United States and Canada will be required to assist with equipment deployment, maintenance, and project support activities.

This position is focused on the installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of complex test equipment and supporting infrastructure. The technician will work across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and coolant systems while partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and ensure reliable equipment performance. Success in this role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to operate safely in both laboratory and manufacturing settings.
