Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) seeks an Electrical and Mechanical Technician for a 6-month contract in Newark, NJ. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of complex test equipment across lab and production environments, with initial training in Allen, Texas.

Expect 40% electronic test equipment support and 30% mechanical/pneumatic/coolant systems, plus 10% Linux/PC systems. Travel across the US and Canada may be required to deploy, maintain, and support projects.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of equivalent hands-on technical experience
• Experience supporting equipment in laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and coolant system troubleshooting
• Proficiency using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and common hand tools
• Ability to read wiring schematics, technical procedures, and mechanical drawings
• Experience diagnosing motors, actuators, motion control systems, and related components
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently or with remote technical guidance
• Willingness to travel within the United States and Canada as required
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing at least 25 pounds
