Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician for a 12-month W2 contract in Costa Mesa, California. The role focuses on maintaining test fixtures, testers, and electrical gear to support production and engineering operations. On-site employment with benefits is provided.

You will work under the Manufacturing & Test Engineering Manager, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety-compliant testing to keep equipment running and meeting standards.

Qualifications

• Associate/Tech training in electrical engineering or technology with four years' experience or a trade school certificate.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to use basic electronic test equipment (DVMs, oscilloscopes) and interpret results; familiarity with basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain test fixtures, testers, and electrical equipment to keep production running.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers to perform maintenance and troubleshoot fixtures and equipment to meet standards.
• Minimize equipment downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Test Technician. This is an on-site role in Costa Mesa, California!

*This role is a 12-month W2 contract opportunity with benefits!*

As a Manufacturing Test Technician, you will support manufacturing and test engineering operations by keeping test fixtures, testers, and electrical equipment safe and available for production.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work under the direction of the Manufacturing & Test Engineering Manager and collaborate with Test Engineers to perform maintenance and troubleshoot test fixture and equipment to ensure standards are met
• Help minimize equipment downtime, support testing standards, and ensure work is being completed in compliance with safety regulations
• Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and operational

Required Skills & Experience

• Associate of Arts/Science in Electrical Engineering or Technology from a recognized College / Four years' comparable experience or a Certificate of Completion from a recognized Technical Trade School / Advanced Military technical school
• High School Degree/GED or equivalent required
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM’s, oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results. The same goes for basic hand tools
• Knowledge of basic soldering techniques and use of soldering equipment
• Prior experience with high voltage 480 volts testing highly valued!
