Job description

Be part of our team and bring your natural skills as a problem solver to our industrial electro-mechanical environment.

We seek an experienced Field Technician who installs, aligns, balances and troubleshoots mechanical/electrical such as motors, pumps, fans. Must have experience with equipment sizes over 200HP.

What You Will Be Responsible for in This Position:

Troubleshoot and test electro-mechanical equipment using various methods and testing equipment. While following company procedures for requisitioning and changing materials and parts, you will verify repairs using various start-up testing procedures. Operate specialized equipment including, but not limited to, laser alignment equipment, portable balancing equipment, megohmmeter, clamp-on ammeters, various kinds of hand‑held power and non‑power tools, etc. You will be called to observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially respiratory, eye and ear protection), in accordance with E/B B30501 (current version). You will need to possess a basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.

We Seek a Candidate with the Following Background:

A minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting and testing electro‑mechanical equipment using various methods and testing equipment as described above. Experienced in verifying repairs using various start‑up testing procedures. Preferred level of education/experience: High School diploma plus some high school trade, vocational/technical school, military or on‑the‑job machine shop training. A proven ability to understand, perform and retain various skill‑related training and operational and safety procedures demonstrated by a supervisor.

This is a first shift position (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) with ample opportunity for overtime (after 8‑hour shift).
