Job summary

Exelon seeks an engineer to develop designs, layouts and construction drawings for utility infrastructure projects, including installation, removal or modification work across electric, gas and telecom facilities. This role involves field engineering, coordinating with New Business projects, and meeting customer needs with strong technical foundations.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree with 0–7 years of experience, CAD skills, and the ability to interpret standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• TECH test completion required (bachelor in engineering exempts).
• Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, practices and regulations.
• Proficient CAD skills (Computer Drawing).
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts and bill of materials for complex utility infrastructure projects.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos.
• Provide technical consultation and plan developments for customer and company systems.
• Evaluate effectiveness of design processes and participate in project teams.
