Job summary

The Town of Huntersville seeks a Customer Service Representative for its electric utility. You will assist customers with payments, maintain accounts, and handle related documentation under limited supervision by the Lead Customer Service Representative.

Essential duties include handling inquiries, processing work orders, cash collections, and contributing to policy updates. Spanish reading ability is preferred and a background check will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in functions of municipal electric systems.
• Three years of experience in accounting, customer service, customer billing systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to electric customers per Town policies.
• Handles customer service requests and resolves them or refers as needed.
• Reviews and revises Customer Service Policies and Procedures as needed.
• Issues, maintains, and updates service work orders and tracking completeness.
• Processes cash collections and prepares daily deposit logs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
