Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Electric Power Technical Training Instructor to develop and conduct programs for employee and customer training on repair, installation, maintenance, programming, and diagnostics of Electric Power equipment.

The role may involve classroom and shop-floor instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engines, switchgear, and industrial applications, with effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team

Qualifications

• Experience in at least 2 of Engines, Electronics, Electric Power Generation or On-Highway Truck.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Acrobat and related presentation tools.
• Strong communication, facilitation and professional interaction with participants and management.

Responsibilities

• Confer with management to determine training objectives and needs.
• Create and implement training programs with outlines, texts, handouts and labs.
• Lectures on safety, installation, programming, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery.
• Demonstrates procedures taught, such as programming and testing.
• Administers exams and writes performance reports to evaluate learning.
• Schedule equipment, training aids, locations and materials.
