Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Training Instructor to develop and conduct programs educating our employees and select customers on repair, installation, maintenance, programming, diagnostics tooling, and safety topics for machinery and equipment.

The role involves creating curricula, delivering lectures, administering exams, and coordinating training resources, with travel to client sites as needed. A strong mechanical aptitude and 5+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Technician or above (equating to career development program).
• 5 years of industry related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Confers with management and staff to determine training objectives and technical needs.
• Creates training programs / implements existing training programs using outlines, texts, handouts, tests and lab exercises.
• Lectures classes on safety, installation, programming, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Demonstrates proper procedures being taught, such as programming, testing and repair.
• Observes class participants in the classroom and lab, answers questions and determines additional activities to ensure learning.
• Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance.
• Facilitates instruction at an expected rate of 75% of available time.
• Schedules and secures equipment, training aides, location and related materials.
• Updates and develops training aids; deals with vendors.
• Participates in meetings and training to retain competency in training arena.
