Job summary

Consumers Energy, the leading energy provider in Michigan, seeks a Supervisor Electric Operations to oversee planning, safety, and execution of field electric work across a defined territory. You will manage budgets, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and lead critical incident responses.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory compliance knowledge, and the ability to drive cost-efficient, safe, and reliable electric service delivery.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing electric operations
• Experience in budgeting and cost control in field operations
• Knowledge of safety, OSHA/MIOSHA standards and compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and direction for field construction, maintenance, and emergency work
• Oversee a geographic area within Consumers Energy electric operations
• Lead daily and weekly operating reviews and cross-functional coordination
• Approve time sheets, training, and safety compliance
• Manage on-call rotation and storm restoration responses
• Ensure projects meet budgets and milestones
• Oversee training and adherence to safety manuals and procedures
