Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Line Supervisor to oversee teams performing construction, maintenance, testing, and operation of the electric transmission and distribution system. The role emphasizes safety leadership, resource coordination, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualified candidates will have 5–7 years in electrical field work, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of transmission/distribution operations. Proficiency with CREWS, SAP, GIS, Empower, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of related electrical field experience.
Experience with hazard response and knowledge of construction/maintenance practices.
Advanced knowledge of transmission and distribution systems operations.
Some supervisory experience preferred.
Able to learn CREWS, SAP, GIS, Flex OMS and Empower, plus MS Office.
Able to read, alter and communicate complex prints and specs.
Strong leadership and communication to guide a team and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate and direct a strong commitment to safety across teams.
Direct and supervise employees in electric transmission and distribution line work.
oversee installation, transfers, cutovers, fault locating, and restoral operations.
Coordinate and dispatch resources during emergencies and storms.
Monitor work practices and enforce established standards.
Coordinate equipment, tools, materials, and supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other departments and schedule work activities.
Provide internal and external customer service and coaching.
