Job summary

Think Power Solutions is seeking a Distribution Construction Manager to provide onsite field construction management for overhead and underground electrical distribution projects within the Michigan Electric Service Territory. You will coordinate field activities, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with engineers, planning, and operations teams to keep one-line diagrams and GIS data accurate.

Qualifications

Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
8–10 years of experience in electrical distribution or transmission construction.
Prior foreman or field leadership experience required.
DOL Certified Journeyman preferred.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide Field Construction Management services to oversee construction of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
Coordinate, oversee, and schedule all field construction activities with stakeholders.
Plan, organize, and monitor contractor performance within project areas.
Conduct field inspections and review completed work for compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.
Work with project management to validate as-built versus as-billed documentation.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate one-line diagrams, maps, and GIS data.
Lead pre-construction meetings to communicate scope, schedule, and safety expectations.
Enforce safety policies, NESC, and applicable standards.
Identify construction issues and recommend improvements.
Provide technical direction to contractors and client crews.
Track contractor performance and maintain progress documentation.
Serve as SME for DTE’s electrical distribution activities in Michigan.
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
