Integrated Power Services (IPS) in Wichita, KS, seeks a skilled Winder to rewind AC/DC motors and repair electromechanical equipment. You will remove windings, inspect for damage, wind new coils, and perform voltage tests on standard windings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Previous practice in winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate machinery and hoists and perform VPI testing.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle and strip damaged equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Document data on equipment windings and operating conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect for hidden damage.
• Test rewound equipment according to standards and document results.
