Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an In-Shop Technician/Winder to rewind and service electromechanical equipment. You will remove old windings, inspect for damage, wind new coils, and perform voltage tests, ensuring quality and reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, procedural training, and accurate data documentation, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, maintenance‑driven environment across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate machinery and hoists.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Document/record data on unit’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, damage, or serviceability.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for damage or unusual conditions.
• Strip stator or apparatus without damaging core or iron.
• Test rewound equipment according to EASA Standards and document results.
