Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled Winder to join our on-site team. You will rewind AC and DC motors, dismantle damaged equipment, and prepare parts for rewinding while recording test data and operating to safety standards.

You’ll inspect windings for damage, document electromagnetic characteristics, and verify results with voltage tests. Candidates need 5+ years of winding experience, strong math skills, and the ability to read and follow complex instructions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Experience in winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
• Ability to perform basic math operations and understand fractions.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex instructions.
• Ability to follow training, operational, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable equipment and inspect for damage.
• Document data on winding characteristics, operating conditions, and serviceability.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect for hidden damage.
• Strip stator or apparatus without damaging core or iron and test rewound equipment per standards.
