Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lineworker to construct, install, repair, maintain, and remove distribution and transmission circuits, substations, and related facilities. Responsibilities include rigging poles on energized and de-energized lines, installing transformers and regulators, and performing repairs on energized equipment.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to communicate effectively, and the capacity to climb poles.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain CDL Class A with an 'O' endorsement.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to progress to senior levels and provide standby coverage.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, maintain, and remove distribution and transmission circuits, substations, and related facilities.
• Rig poles on energized and de-energized circuits and install transformers, voltage regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Perform repairs on energized equipment and assist with storm restoration and emergency assignments.
• Work overtime as needed to maintain reliable electric service.
• ALTP training program participation with assigned base locations and potential travel across state lines.
