Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lineworker to construct, install, repair, and maintain distribution and transmission circuits and substations. The role requires climbing and working on poles, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Starting pay is $49.06 per hour. Candidates may need a CDL Class A with endorsement and must complete CAST aptitude testing. Union-involved, overtime for storm restoration may apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a CDL with an endorsement.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must successfully complete the CAST aptitude test.
• CDL/A license preferred.
• Line school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, maintain, and remove distribution and transmission circuits and substations.
• Rig poles on energized and de-energized circuits.
• Install transformers, voltage regulators, capacitors and reclosures; replace fuses.
• Work on underground equipment and energized equipment; follow instructions and climb poles/structures.
• May be assigned storm restoration and emergency tasks; overtime may be required.
