Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to construct, build and maintain OH/UG electrical facilities up to 15kV in the Hot Springs area. The role requires climbing, driving, and operating bucket/digger trucks as well as reading prints and responding to emergencies.

Minimum experience includes 3.5 years of linework and a 4th-year apprenticeship; safety, endurance, and ability to work irregular hours are essential. Travel up to 25% and onsite work are expected.

Qualifications

• Must live within 20 miles of the work location.
• Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
• Ability to take and understand directives with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wire transformer banks.
• Install and wire regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Drive of different sizes and types of trucks.
• Operate equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read and understand job prints and sketches.
• Set and climb all sizes of poles in open areas and energized lines.
• Be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
