Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Assembler for the Electric Heat division. The role involves assembling heater unit product codes and fabricating components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs. This weekend shift features a 3-day work week with 12-hour shifts.

You will lay out electrical installations, drill and tap holes, attach components, perform hydro tests, and install thermostats. Candidates should have 1–3 months related experience and may hold a GED or high school diploma;

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
