Job summary

NiSource in Indiana seeks a Field Leader for Electric Operations to guide a team, support emergencies, and ensure safe, reliable service across the Transmission & Distribution system. You will lead in the field, coach staff, and drive improvements in safety and performance.

This role requires strong decision-making in emergencies, a commitment to safety, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal/external groups. On-call duties and possible overtime or travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma/GED and strong decision-making in emergencies.
• Proven ability to motivate stakeholders with varying priorities.
• Strong knowledge of on-the-job safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to coach and develop employees in a field environment.
• Experience with field leadership and coordinating front-line teams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Safety Leadership in a safe working environment and enforce safety practices.
• Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to frontline staff.
• Be a consistent presence at work sites and deliver feedback to front-line employees.
• Manage development, training, and evaluation to improve team performance.
• Direct field damage assessment and restoration work for electric outages.
