Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Field Leader for Electric Operations to guide a team of employees and contractors in supporting emergencies, performing maintenance, and installing asset improvements. You will model safe work practices, drive training, and manage workload within budgets and standards.

Responsibilities include coaching frontline staff, leading incident responses, and coordinating with internal groups to meet reliability and CAIDI/SAIDI objectives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 4+ years experience in electric industry and/or related utility
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to manage safety compliance and accident prevention
• Experience with coordinating stand-by rotations and emergency response
• Proficiency with relevant software platforms (ITOA, OMS, NIMS, Salesforce, GIS)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote a safe working environment
• Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to front-line workers
• Manage development, training, and evaluation of staff
• Coordinate with internal and external groups to align work efforts
• Respond to emergencies per established procedures and incident command system
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulations, and process controls
