Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Team Leader of Electric Distribution (PE) with 10+ years of experience to lead the design and delivery of overhead and underground distribution systems.

The role focuses on mentoring staff, managing budgets, strengthening client partnerships, and driving growth in our growing electric distribution practice. The position requires a Texas PE license, ABET‑accredited engineering degree, and willingness to work from Halff's Texas offices.

Qualifications

• Texas PE license active and in good standing.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master’s).
• 10+ years designing and delivering overhead/underground electric distribution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electric utility design software.
• CAD-based and GIS-based design tools experience.
• Strong knowledge of NESC and NEC standards.
• Proven leadership and client relationship skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work from Halff Texas offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow Electric Distribution team.
• Oversee planning, design, and delivery of distribution projects.
• Ensure safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Develop new business opportunities and lead proposals.
• Maintain strong client relationships and coordinate with leadership.
• Manage budgets, contracts, schedules, and resources.
• Drive continuous improvement and share resources across offices.
