Job summary

Halff is seeking a Team Leader for Electric Distribution in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on guiding a distributed team, developing staff, and strengthening client partnerships within an employee-owned firm.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in electric distribution design/delivery and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with strong AutoCAD and GIS tool proficiency and a track record of winning work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing design and delivery of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• 2+ years of experience supervising employees.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electric utility design software.
• Experience with CAD-based and GIS-based design tools for electric power infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (NESC/NEC).
• Proven business development and client relationship management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Electric Distribution team with technical guidance and leadership.
• Manage team performance, workload planning, staffing, quality, profitability and overall operational success.
• Oversee planning, design, and delivery of overhead/underground distribution projects from moderate to complex scopes.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet client requirements.
• Direct project managers and staff while maintaining accountability for execution and client satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships as trusted advisor and primary contact.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead proposals, and support strategic growth.
• Collaborate with leadership to align team goals with business objectives.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, resources, and subconsultants.
• Identify risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and delivery.
• Support work-sharing across Halff offices to maximize resources.
