Halff Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Electric Distribution Team Leader to lead the Electric Power Delivery practice in Houston or San Antonio.

The role focuses on guiding a high-performing team, mentoring engineers, and delivering complex overhead and underground distribution projects for utilities. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of leadership experience, strong technical skills in AutoCAD and GIS-based tools, and a proven track record in business development and client

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing the design and delivery of electric distribution systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electric utility design software.
• Experience with CAD-based and GIS-based design tools for electric power infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Electric Distribution team by providing technical guidance, coaching, and leadership.
• Manage team performance, workload planning, staffing, quality, profitability, and overall operational success.
• Oversee the planning, design, and delivery of overhead and underground electric distribution projects ranging from moderate to complex in scope.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Direct project managers and technical staff while maintaining accountability for project execution and client satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and support strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with company leadership to align team goals with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, resources, and subconsultants.
• Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and project delivery.
• Support work-sharing efforts across Halff offices and practices to maximize resources and client success.
• Make sound business, project, and personnel decisions while fostering a positive team culture.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
