Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Distribution System Operator to plan, coordinate, and supervise switching and tagging operations, issue clearances, monitor system loads, and support emergency restoration for the electric distribution system.

You will coordinate activities with CONVEX and other regions, train apprentices, and may travel between MA/CT/NH as needed, with on-call responsibilities in emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred in electrical discipline.
• Experience in electric distribution operations or utilities desired.
• Ability to analyze distribution system issues and act quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate NMS and SCADA equipment safely.
• Write, check, approve, and issue switching instructions.
• Analyze trouble calls and coordinate corrective actions.
