Job summary

Eversource Energy is searching for a Field Automation Technician to provide technical service for system control and data acquisition on the Distribution Electric Grid. The ideal candidate will assist in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SCADA systems.

This entry-level role requires a knowledge of electrical components, an Associate's Degree in a relevant field, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Critical Infrastructure Protection certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic components, circuitry, and systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
• 0 to 3+ years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment associated with the SCADA system.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Obtain clearance from the dispatching agency for critical operating equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of electrical and electronic components

Education

Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
