Job summary

Eversource Energy in Connecticut seeks a seasoned leader to oversee construction, operation, maintenance and emergency restoration of electric distribution and transmission systems. You will coordinate across departments, promote safety, and drive a customer-focused culture while guiding field teams.

Candidates must have 5–10 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel between MA/CT/NH.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
• Five to ten years of related experience; supervisory preferred.
• Must maintain switching and tagging qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the safe execution of field activities.
• Makes decisions and prioritizes work to ensure the safe and appropriate use of resources.
• Sets clear expectations and provides ongoing feedback to employees regarding performance.
• Responsible for the proper application of local union contracts and agreements; resolves grievances.
• Coordinates work with other utilities, other departments, and outside contractors as necessary.
• Ensures work completes within budgetary guidelines.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves time, expense, materials and other records timely.
• Demonstrates a customer-first attitude and resolves customer issues collaboratively.
• Fulfills storm duty assignments and participates in on-call rotation as required.
• Acts as primary construction liaison with multiple internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensures job packages are construction ready and material availability meets schedule.
• Coordinates external agencies and internal support to maintain the critical path.
• Supports scheduler in producing an accurate schedule for the planning window.
• Works with Outside Supervisors to address emergent issues and customer priorities.
• Prepares weekly/monthly status reports highlighting key KPIs.
