Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Distribution Engineering Designer to plan, coordinate, and monitor design activities for electric distribution projects across MA/CT/NH. The role involves large complex overhead and underground projects, including line relocations, reliability improvements, and asset replacements, with collaboration across engineering, operations, and external vendors.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus experience, strong knowledge of safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus 5 years related experience, or 8 years combined education/experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (National Electric Safety Code) and design standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex distribution design projects including overhead/underground lines.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and permitting authorities.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure safe, compliant designs.
• Monitor budget, schedule, and project performance.
