Job summary

Middlesex County Board of Elections in New Jersey is seeking an Employee Warehouse Worker to support the election operation. The role involves packing electronic poll books, maintaining voting machines, and ensuring supplies are ready for Election Day.

The position reports to the Administrator and Warehouse Supervisors. Starting salary is $36,500 with overtime; hours are typically 8:15 to 4:15, with extended hours as needed, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs continuously.
• Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written directions and be observant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack electronic poll books.
• Prepare/maintain election voting machines, including cleaning and minor repair.
• Perform polling place site visits for ADA compliance.
• Attend and administer poll worker training classes.
• Safeguards sensitive election documents and supplies.
• Performs other duties assigned by Administrator and Warehouse Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor.
• Must attend all required state and Board training classes.
