Davis County Clerk's Office is seeking an Elections Manager to oversee voter registration, the electronic voting system, and the elections process in Davis County. The role entails supervising elections staff, coordinating day-to-day election activities, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with state and federal election laws.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time employment performing related duties, two years in progressively responsible administrative and supervisory duties.
• May be required to obtain CERA certification within three years of hire date.
• Preference given for Certified Election Registration Administrator (CERA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and hires elections personnel; assigns, supervises, and monitors the work of elections staff; ensures staff is properly trained.
• Coordinates election day activities and workflow with election staff and poll workers; oversees recruitment and training of poll workers.
• Prepares and submits election budget; monitors expenditures; submits grants for state and federal funds.
• Manages Davis County elections; coordinates municipal election processes; ensures compliance with state and federal election laws.
• Interprets and explains county policies and related laws; reviews ballot text and format.
• Reviews population growth and makes recommendations for precinct boundaries and polling locations; arranges polling locations and inspects sites.
• Publishes public election notices; responds to public concerns; processes voter registration forms and related materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
