Job summary

Davis County Clerk's Office is seeking a full-time Elections Manager to oversee voter registration, the electronic voting system, and the elections process in Davis County. The role reports to the Davis County Clerk and requires leadership of elections staff, budget oversight, and coordination with city partners.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time employment performing related duties, two years with progressively responsible administrative and supervisory duties.
• Preferred but not required: Certified Election Registration Administrator (CERA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and hires elections personnel; supervises, evaluates, and ensures staff training.
• Coordinates election day activities and poll worker training.
• Prepares and submits election budgets and grants.
• Manages Davis County elections and coordinates with cities; ensures compliance with laws.
• Interprets policies and state/federal regulations; approves ballot text and format.
• Reviews population growth to adjust precinct boundaries and polling locations.
• Prepares correspondence and training materials for poll workers and Registration Agents.
• Represents the Clerk at meetings on elections services.
• Publishes public election notices and addresses concerns about polling locations.
• Oversees processing of voter registrations and related materials; resolves discrepancies.
