Job summary

County of Los Angeles is seeking a temporary delivery driver for the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk with routes across LA County. The role requires driving a vehicle up to 24 feet, a valid California Class C license, and at least 6 months of full-time driving experience.

Positions may be posted at multiple sites and shifts including evenings and weekends. Applicants will be processed on a first-come basis for a 12-month eligible list; this is a non-competitive assessment and not all applicants

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of full-time experience driving a vehicle in pick-up or delivery service. Paid or volunteer experience will be accepted. Work performed part-time in the specified capacities will be prorated on the month for month basis.

Responsibilities

• Drives a truck up to 24 feet on an assigned route to deliver and pick up election materials.
• Loads and unloads election materials and supplies.
• Records pickup and delivery schedules and items delivered.
• Records vehicle usage and mileage.
• Reads maps and follows directions.
• Oversees a helper as needed.
