Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives, opens, and processes voted ballot card boxes from different precinct locations.
• Checks ballot envelopes for write-in votes and validates according to election laws.
• Removes extraneous material from ballot cards to ensure proper processing.
• Stores completed ballot cards in appropriate containers by precinct.
• Keeps records of storage locations to enable quick retrieval.
• Participates in voter outreach by distributing information materials and registration forms.
• Recruits bilingual and special program poll workers and provides relevant materials.
• Explains polling place operations and election processes to the public.
